HubSpot integration setup guide
The Quota Queue HubSpot integration reads deals, owners, line items, products, and companies from HubSpot so Quota Queue can calculate sales commissions from them. It is read-only: Quota Queue never creates, edits, or deletes anything in HubSpot.
What the integration does
Quota Queue is sales commission software. Once HubSpot is connected, Quota Queue imports closed deals and their owners, applies your published commission plans, and produces line-item commission statements that administrators review and approve and reps can inspect. HubSpot stays your CRM of record; when deals change in HubSpot, the next sync updates them in Quota Queue and queues recalculation.
Before you start
- A Quota Queue workspace. Sign up free; the Free plan includes 1 CRM connection.
- The Admin role in Quota Queue. Only administrators can connect or disconnect HubSpot.
- A HubSpot user who can install apps in the HubSpot account you want to connect.
- Sandbox (demo) workspaces cannot connect integrations; use a regular workspace.
Install and connect HubSpot
- Sign in to Quota Queue and open Integrations in the dashboard sidebar.
- On the HubSpot card, select Connect HubSpot.
- HubSpot asks you to choose the account to connect. Choose it and review the requested permissions: read access to deals, owners, companies, line items, and products, plus optional read access to deal splits.
- Select Connect app. HubSpot returns you to Quota Queue, the card shows Connected, and the first sync starts automatically.
Installing from the HubSpot App Marketplace follows the same authorization screen. Quota Queue uses HubSpot OAuth only; you never paste a HubSpot password or API key into Quota Queue.
What data is read
Sync direction is HubSpot to Quota Queue only.
| HubSpot object | What Quota Queue uses |
|---|---|
| Deals | Name, amount, close date, stage, pipeline, deal type, owner, stage probability, and currency. Closed-won deals become credited deal records for commission calculation. |
| Owners | Name, email, team, and active or archived status, used to match HubSpot owners to commission participants. |
| Line items and products | Line items associated with deals, and the product catalog, so plan rules can use product context. |
| Companies | Company name, industry, location, employee count, annual revenue, and owner, used as account context. |
| Deal splits (optional) | Read only when your HubSpot account includes deal splits and you grant the optional permission. Accounts without it can still connect. |
Contacts are not read.
Configure after connecting
- Review how HubSpot owners matched your Quota Queue people, and fix any unmatched owners so every deal credits the right rep.
- Open a few imported deals and confirm amount, close date, stage, and owner look right.
- Assign commission plans to the people who should be paid, then reconcile one known pay period against what you paid before.
- On Starter or Pro, choose an automatic sync schedule in workspace settings: every minute, hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly. On Free, run syncs yourself.
Using the integration
- Automatic: on Starter and Pro, scheduled syncs import new and changed deals and recalculate affected commissions without manual steps.
- Manual: an administrator can select Sync now on the HubSpot card at any time, on every plan.
- History: the sync history on the HubSpot card shows each run, its status, how many deals it processed, and any error.
- If Quota Queue later needs a permission you have not granted, the card shows a New permissions available notice so you can re-authorize.
Disconnect HubSpot from Quota Queue
- As a Quota Queue administrator, open Integrations.
- On the HubSpot card, select the Disconnect HubSpot button (the disconnect icon) and confirm.
Quota Queue deletes its stored HubSpot connection, revokes its HubSpot refresh token so it can no longer obtain access, stops syncing, and records the disconnection in the workspace activity log. The app stays listed in HubSpot's Connected Apps until you uninstall it as described next.
Uninstall the app from HubSpot
- In HubSpot, open Settings (gear icon), then Integrations > Connected Apps.
- Find QuotaQueue, open Actions, and select Uninstall.
Uninstalling revokes Quota Queue's access to your HubSpot account. Syncs stop immediately.
What happens to your data
- In HubSpot: nothing changes. Quota Queue never wrote to HubSpot, so there is nothing to clean up.
- In Quota Queue: deals, people, and commission statements already imported stay in your workspace so past commission records remain intact and auditable. They no longer update from HubSpot.
- To have that data deleted, delete your workspace or ask us to; see the privacy policy.
